Hiring Now! Financial Advisors, Lead/Service Advisors

Position Overview

A financial advisor, also known as a lead advisor or service advisor, is a dedicated professional who primarily focuses on providing personalized financial guidance and support to clients. Spending over 80% of their time working directly with clients, these advisors are instrumental in helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. Their core responsibilities include creating comprehensive financial plans, developing customized investment strategies, and offering ongoing advice to ensure clients' financial plans remain aligned with their changing needs and market conditions. By building strong, trust-based relationships, financial advisors help clients navigate complex financial landscapes, make informed decisions, and achieve long-term financial stability.

In addition to their client-facing duties, financial advisors must stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and new financial products to provide the best possible advice. They often collaborate with other financial professionals, such as tax advisors and estate planners, to offer a holistic approach to financial and wealth planning. Effective communication skills, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of financial principles are essential for success in this role. By dedicating most of their time to client interactions, financial advisors ensure that their clients receive the highest level of personalized service, fostering a sense of confidence and security in their financial future. These positions may cultivate new client referrals through offering a high-level of service to existing clients, but they are usually not required to develop new client relationships through business development and/or marketing channels.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop Customized Financial Plans: Create tailored financial strategies that align with clients' short-term and long-term goals.

  • Collaborate with Other Professionals: Work with tax advisors, estate planners, and other financial professionals to provide comprehensive advice.

Typical skills and knowledge requirements:

  • Financial Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment strategies, retirement planning, tax laws, and estate planning.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, assess risk, and develop effective financial strategies.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills to establish trust and rapport with clients, understanding their needs and goals.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements to ensure ethical and legal practices.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify financial issues and develop creative solutions tailored to clients' unique situations.
